Located up stairs from the main bar, with heritage brick walls,an open space plan, high ceilings and a surrounding terrace, the Shakespeare restaurant welcomes you with an ambience you won't find elsewhere.
Whether you're poping in for a quick drink, dining in or basking in the afternoon sunlight on our terrace, our restaurant caters for all. We specialize in mouth-watering burgers, deliciously fresh salads and tender steaks cooked how you like it, along with all your old favourites. Our chef has thought long and hard about our menu so there is something for everyone.

Shakespeare's Main Bar
Located level to the street, the Shakespeare's main bar is a great place to relax and unwind, with eight available beers on tap, three of which are brewed in house and a fantastic selection of New Zealand wine and spirits for your refreshment. We have live music during the week, a TAB for getting your bets on the horses, a gaming room and a billard for your enjoyment.
